This time of year, I get an insatiable urge to listen to trance, dance, and other forms of electronica. This year, 80s New Wave also joins the mix. In fact, I feel like I listen to more 80s new wave music than anything right now. It started on August 31st when the song “Dancing with Tears in My Eyes” by Ultravox popped into my head. The song has been in my head ever since, and I’ve listened to the song probably 400 times since. When Spotify shows my year in review, I fully expect to be the number one listener of Ultravox. But I digress. You probably want to know about Fall Moods.
So what is on Fall Moods? Well, lots of stuff. Again, a ton of 80s New Wave. The aforementioned Ultravox song, as well as OMD, Talk Talk, Men Without Hats, and Joe Jackson. Electronic pop from Alison Moyet, Ladytron, New Order, and Erasure. Trance artists such as Oceanlab (Above and Beyond), Delerium, Chicane, and Deadmaus. And a bunch of other electronic inspired music. Everything from Kraftwerk to Pet Shop Boys to Daft Punk to Chappelle Roan.
Enjoy the playlists below on Apple Music, Spotify, and YouTube.

What’s the deal with all the Fall Moods?
Fall has sprung on us like a tiger pouncing on.…No, that’s not right. Fall rains flood the streets like a river out of…uggg, no, just no. How about It was a dark and stormy night….ok, I’ll stop.
If you’re following AudioPerfecta, you’ll notice that this website has not been active for a few months. There’s been a reason; I’m concentrating on my fiction. And by focusing on my fiction, I mean long form fiction. Over the past three months, I’ve been writing a novella. I’m actually done with my second draft, and I’m putting it aside for a month to breathe. That’s not all! I am writing another Novella. I’m doing a writing challenge in November and I’m dedicating to writing 25,000 words! Woohoo! It’s so exciting.
So, what does this mean for AudioPerfecta? I’ll still be doing the occasional playlist for certain. Aside from this playlist (which admittedly has fueled my first Novella), there are a couple of others I have in various stages of development. I even have a playlist of songs my protagonist loves! As far as featured articles โ they might be put on hiatus for a bit. I could see one or two pop up here and there, but again, I’m concentrating on my long form fiction right now. But mark my words, while articles in general might be on hiatus, AudioPerfecta is not dead. This is a lifelong endeavor, so this website dies when I die (hopefully a long, long, loooooooooong time from now).
By the way, if you want to keep tabs on my progress, I will be doing blog posts from time to time on aaronjedwards.com. I also talk about my writing quite extensively on Threads.
Until next time โย whenever that might be, rock on and rocksteady!
