Winter Dance Party!

I feel like I’ve done this before, and yet my archives show no Winter Dance Party. I have Songs For Winter, Rainy Day Music, and even Summer Dance Party. But not a dance party specifically for the colder season. Well, it’s time I remedy this oversight. It’s time I tell everyone to get off their frozen keesters and dance like it’s 1999. Did I spell that right? I’ve never actually typed the word “keester” before today. But I digress. You probably want to know what danceable songs are on this week’s playlist! Edit: it’s actually spelled “keister.” TIL! I’ve had too much caffeine today.

So many great songs and artists found their way to Winter Dance Party. I start out with The B52’s singing “Planet Claire.” I follow that with “Safety Dance” by Men Without Hats. Getting excited yet? You should be. I’ve also got Erasure’s “Stop!,” “And She Was” by Talking Heads,” and “Modern Love” by David Bowie. Oh, but don’t worry, it’s not all 80s. There’s tracks from Ok Go, ABBA, Sleigh Bells, The Go! Team, Belle & Sebastian, Junior Senior, Dee-Lite, Ladytron, and even The Beatles. You’ll have a ton of fun, no matter who you are.

Get up, and move your feet with Winter Dance Party!

More Winter Dance Party? Yes please?

My partner and I have both had the idea of making a bunch of “high school dance” style playlists. Doing them by era. The first one would most likely be 1990-1994 because that’s essentially my high school era. But yeah, those are going to be fun, so keep on the lookout.

By the way, my playlists are always available in three formats: Spotify, Youtube, and Apple Music. So if you’re boycotting Spotify, you can always find another alternative to my playlists. Oh, and Joe Rogan needs to shut the fuck up!

See you next week! until then, rock on and rock steady!
