Halloween Dance Party 2021

I’ve had a ton of fun this month, making all the weird and awesome playlists. I’ve made a playlist focusing on monsters, on magic, and on all things evil. But now we’ve come to the big event. Now we come to the headliner. Now we celebrate Halloween like we’ve never celebrated it before! And how do we celebrate? With this year’s Halloween Dance Party mix!

Oh, and the treasures I’ve put in this playlist. Yeah, sure. I included some mainstays such as Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr., and Rockwell’s Somebody’s Watching Me. But I also dug up some old bones, songs you may not have heard in decades โ€“ if at all. There’s the Transylvania Twist by Bobby Pickett, there’s Be True to Your Ghoul by The Ghouls, and who can forget the Werewolf Watusi by Din Hinson? Oh, you did. Well, now I’m bringing its corpse back to life! Arise, my creature! Arise! Other artists featured: Jonathan Coulton, Misfits, David Bowie, The White Stripes, The Ventures, Spike Jones, Flight of the Conchords, and even Elvira. And that’s just a start!

I hope this year’s Halloween Dance Party gives your October 31st that extra touch of spooky, scary fun. Happy Halloween everyone!

Halloween Dance Party 2021

Why wasn’t my favorite song on Halloween Dance Party?

As I mentioned earlier, there were three other Halloween playlists this year. I really don’t like to duplicate songs so close, so I made the executive decision to not include any songs in this playlist that were on any of the last three playlists. I hope everyone will forgive me. To make it up, however, you’ll be getting a brand new Cover vs Original this week! I’ll be writing about the song “This is Halloween” from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I don’t know when it’ll come out, but I’m aiming for Friday!

And that’s not all. This Tuesday, I’ll be posting a special scary story over at my other website, aaronjedwards.com. So if you want more spooky fun, make sure to check it out!

That’s all I’ve got for you this week – Happy Halloween, and as always, Rock on and rock steady!
