Halloween 2020: Songs for the Apocalypse

Ahhh, 2020. It’s a perpetual Halloween, only not in a fun way. Sometimes I feel like we’re in the middle of the apocalypse. Other times I know we’re in the middle of the apocalypse. Regardless, the “official Halloween is just around the corner, where we celebrate death and destruction and pretty much everything that 2020 has brought to us already. Yaaaaa! So, to celebrate this very special Halloween, I’ve put together a playlist. Halloween 2020: Songs for the Apocalypse.

Like previous Halloween playlists, this year’s playlist includes a few Halloween favorites. There’s Beware of the Blob by The 5 Blobs, Werewolves of London by Warren Zevon, Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr, Monster Mash by Bobby Pickett, and of course, the theme from the Adams Family. There are also songs about the apocalypse! The End of the World as We Know It by R.E.M., Eve of Destruction by Barry McGuire, 99 Luftabalons by Nena, and Armageddon It by Def Leppard. Songs for the Apocalypse will set your Halloween mood, 2020 style!

Get creeped out and scared out of your wits with Halloween 2020: Songs for the Apocalypse!

Songs for the Apocalypse, featuring The 5 Blobs, Warren Zevon, Ray Parker Jr, Bobby Pickett, R.E.M, Nena, Def Leppard, CCR, and more!

We don’t want songs for the apocalypse volume 2!

Well, maybe we do, but we don’t want a repeat of 2020. Seriously, this is probably the most devastating year in my lifetime, and it could get worse! The next four years could be like 2020! Even if we get a vaccine for Covid-19, we could face some catastrophes the world could only imagine.

This is me getting political by the way. We, at least those of us in America, have the presidential election in a few weeks. I personally believe this to be the most important election of my life so far. We currently have someone in office who disregards climate change, science and does not care about the plight of the poor. We need healthcare for all, we need to take climate change seriously, and we need to freaking stop avoiding science when it’s scary! So, get out there and vote. Vote early if you can! It’s just that important.

Enough of the scary and real stuff. As per tradition, on my other website, I’ll be publishing my annual scary story on the 29th! This year’s installment is kind of a mash between Frankenstein and zombies. It will be fun and nonpolitical! I promise.

Have a fun and safe Halloween, and don’t forget to vote! Rock on, rock steady everyone.
