Mellow Vibes

What is there to do right now? Not a whole lot. Concerts are canceled for the time being. You could go to a movie, but considering the experts are saying it’s a really bad idea, well… There really isn’t much to do still except sit on your couch, listen to music, and mellow. Still, at least we can do that. At least we have music, despite the fact that we’ve been stuck in isolation for six months. Yeah, I’m going crazy myself, are you? But I digress. Mellow Vibes is the perfect playlist to fight the boredom of isolation as we all wait for that magical day when there’s a readily available and reliable vaccine. May that day be sooner than the experts predict.

Mellow Vibes is full of songs that encourage feelings of bliss and calmness. Featuring artists such as R.E.M., Sarah McLachlan, Air, Norah Jones, Belle & Sebastian, Peter Gabriel, Chicago, and other well-known artists Mellow Vibes will transport you to a special place where everything is peaceful and quiet. But wait, there’s more! Yes, there are lots of artists and songs you already know, however, there’s a few you might not know. From the Bossa Nova stylings of Nouvelle Vague and Micatone, to the acoustic singer-songwriting of Night Beds, to the upbeat, but still mellow stylings of Oh Land, you’ll be sure to find a new favorite artist amongst artists you already count as your favorites.

Sit back, relax, and listen to the mellow vibes.

Mellow Vibes

Do you want more mellow vibes, or do you wan to rock?

I really enjoyed this playlist. I even have a few songs I cut at the last minute due to length and flow. I have a set of rules I try to follow while making playlists, and a handful of the songs just didn’t make the cut this time. However, maybe there should be a next time. Maybe that next time should be next week? Or maybe I should do a rock playlist next week? Or maybe something entirely different. I wouldn’t mind doing a shoegazer playlist soon. However, it isn’t about what I want, it’s about what you, my audience wants. So tell me in the comments below, what would you like to see in next week’s playlist? Maybe you even have a specific theme you would like me to explore. I’m open! All you need to do is ask!

Until next time, rock on, and rocksteady.
