I Need You Around

I had a boring shift at work today. Everyone was watching the Superbowl, so I got no calls. The highlight of the shift was when my partner called. She isn’t here right now, and I miss her when she’s gone. It gets lonely, even with a ton of kitty snuggles. So hun, if you’re reading this, I Need You Around. And with Valentine’s Day today, I’ve made a playlist of love songs.

This is not my first love songs playlist or even my second or third. So I’ve added a little angle this time around. All the songs are from the 80s or 90s, and most of them are from “alternative” or “before the revolution” rock artists. A few grunge artists, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots. There are a few indie rock bands, like Rilo Kiley, Dressy Bessy, and Smoking Popes. I’ve also included a couple of post-punk artists, U2, INXS, Echo & the Bunnymen, and the like. Oh, there’s even a little dream pop included, My Bloody Valentine and Lush come to mind.

Happy Valentine’s Day and I hope everyone enjoys this week’s playlist: I Need You Around.

I Need You Around

And I need YOU around as well!

Folks, my life has changed significantly in the last year. And it’s about to change a little more. I’m moving to full-time at a paying job, as I’ve accepted a new position (on top of my old position). I no longer list myself as “working” here on LinkedIn, which means this website is full-on into the hobby column. It’s bittersweet, but I knew the time would eventually come. So, what does this mean for AudioPerfecta? Well, less pressure on my6self to bring you featured articles. This actually might mean more as I don’t feel I have to anymore. I will still bring the weekly playlists as well. I guess nothing is really going to change too dramatically. I might prioritize fixing a few bugs I’ve had โ€“ we’ll see. But I still need you, and want you, to come back and check in on what I bring to the table. So, yeah, there’s that!

Rock on, and rock steady all. Until next week!
