It’s been a few weeks, has it not? I needed a break, but I’m back this week with an amazing playlist. Seriously, I’m listening to it right now, and it’s full of great music. The theme might have something to do with it. This week, I’m tackling songs that deal with Epic Journeys. You know, songs that talk about a long and tremendous trip. These types of songs, by their very nature, have an upbeat and high-energy sound.
Let me tell you a little more about these songs. We have songs about great space adventures of course. “Major Tom” by Peter Schilling and “Space Oddity” by David Bowie. “Flight Test” by The Flaming Lips. There are songs about life as a journey, such as “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi and “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey. We have songs about the Journey of love, such as “I Drove All Night” by Cyndi Lauper and “Because the Night” by Patti Smith. There are even songs about the end of a journey, such as “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” by Elton John. The Beatles, Tina Turner, The Police, Jimi Hendrix, Talking Heads, Queen, Prince, and much, much more! I’ve made road trip playlists before, but this might be the ultimate playlist for road trips!

Is Epic Journeys epic or what?
I hate using the word “epic” in its slang form. But in this case, there’s just no other word to describe the awesomeness of this week’s playlist. Wow, just wow.
Anyways, I’ve missed doing these playlists. Sometimes I feel like no one is paying attention – but that really doesn’t matter. These playlists are good for my mental health, so I shall keep doing them!
