Dance to the Music

Sometimes I just need music that makes you want to dance. Sure, I like to listen to music that makes me think, but sometimes I just have to unplug. Especially in rough times. Really no more explanation is needed โ€“ but that’s what this week’s playlist is dedicated to. That’s why I call this week’s playlist Dance to the Music.

What’s on Dance to the Music? A little of this, a little of that. We’ve got Erasure’s new song, Time. We’ve also got an old Beatles standard, I Want To Hold Your Hand. Blondie is Dreaming, while Alison Moyet sings about a Love Resurrection. Sleater-Kinney says You’re No Rock and Roll Fun, but don’t worry, U2 Says You’re the Best Thing About Me. New Order, Talking Heads, Sleigh Bells, Lush, Stereolab, The Smiths, The B-52s, DEVO, The Kinks, and more! All just wanting to shake your whammy fanny till your grannie calls you home!

Enjoy Dance to the Music

Dance to the Music

Dance to the Music was late! What happened?

Yes. there was no playlist last week. It just wasn’t in me to do, sorry.

Anyways, I’m putting on my happy pants right now and getting ready for the flurry of articles coming your way. I need to write something – anything this month. I have several projects in my head, one I’m leaning towards specifically. It would pair well with an upcoming playlist, so I’ll probably go that route.

Oh, what is this? Sorry, I’m a stream of consciousness right now, aren’t I? Anyways, I’m thinking about doing a retro album review on Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged In New York album. This one will be a little different, as I’ve never fully explored the album โ€“ย so it might be a great way of exploring said album.

See you next week. As always folks, rock on and Rock steady.
