While AudioPerfecta does not discriminate by musical genre, my favorite has always been rock and or roll. Loud guitars, screaming vocals. I don’t care if its punk, metal, pop-rock, indie rock, or whatever other genres you can name. I love it all. But also, I love the holidays, so when Christmastime comes around, I take the time to listen to as much holiday rock and roll as I can. That’s what this playlist is all about. Christmas Time Rock celebrates those who dare strap n an electric guitar and sing about Santa and Frosty and the Birth of Christ.
Christmas Time Rock features everyone from Def Leppard to Bad Religion. Weezer, The Flaming Lips, The Who, Ramones, Twisted Sister, Cheap Trick, Chuck Berry, and more! There are songs on the Naughty List. AC/DC’s Mistress for Christmas and Lacuna Coil’s Naughty Christmas. There’s artists on the nice list, like Stryper and Anberlin. Classics such as John Couger Mellencamp’s I Saw Momma Kissing Santa Claus and Bruce Springsteen’s Santa Claus is Coming to Town. There’s The Night Santa Went Crazy by “Weird Al.” Tell me to my face that song isn’t metal! Oh, and I even found a version of Run Rudolph Run by Lemmy, Billy Gibbons, and Dave Grohl. That’s a combo I never expected to see!
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Rock On! Enjoy Christmas Time Rock!
Christmas Time Rock all month long!
I have a lot of Holiday Fun planned for the month of December. For starters, my annual Holiday Hall of Shame will be hitting your screens in just a few days. This time, I focus on pop songs. There’s some doozies there, so be sure to check back. You won’t want to miss it. There’s also a special holiday addition to cover vs original, and a couple more Christmas playlists. All in all, the Holidays will be fun for everyone here in AudioPerfecta. So deck them halls and wring those bells. Christmastime is here!
Rock on, Rocksteady. And Happy Holidays from AudioPerfecta.
