A Playlist for Dreamers

Dreams. We all have them, we all fight for them, and we all have those dreams that go nowhere. Can anyone ever say they’ve fulfilled all their dreams? I speak of course, of dreams in the colloquial sense – and not in the literal “what happens when we sleep” sense. Dreams are those things we chase because of what our heart tells us to chase said things. Dreams are those things that make us wonder. Anyways – this is a playlist for those dreams. This is a playlist for dreamers.

This playlist contains a great deal of tracks you’ll know already. “Ordinary Love” by U2, “Under Pressure” by Queen and David Bowie, “Dreams” by The Cranberries, and even “The Fools Who Dream” sung by Emma Stone for the movie La La Land. The diversity in the tracks show different emotions we feel while chasing our dreams. There’s hope, from “Rainbow Connection.” There’s loneliness from “Message in a Bottle.” Of course, we even have frustration from songs like “I Just Wasn’t Made for these Times” written by Brian Wilson. These songs will take you through a journey as you chase your own dreams. So buckle up, this playlist will be an emotional ride. At the end of the day, however, I hope this playlist encourages you to chase your dreams despite the odds and the circumstances.

Enjoy the playlist for dreamers!

Wasn’t there already a playlist for dreamers?

A Playlist for Dreamers

If you’re asking this question, you’re a) paying attention to my playlists (yaaaa), and b) thinking of Songs about Dreams and Rainbows. I can see the confusion. This playlist focuses on the individual dreamer, and the other playlist focuses on the dreams (and rainbows) themselves. There’s some crossover (a few tracks show up on both playlists), however these playlists are for the most part pretty unique from each other.

Eh, whatever. Let’s talk about the fun stuff coming tomorrow….a song by a dreamer about a dream. Tomorrow I compare Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire” to several covers. I’m pretty excited!

Finally, if you don’t follow audioperfecta on Twitter or Facebook, you should! Especially if you like covers! The #coveroftheday keeps getting better and better! It’s a lot of fun…just saying.
