Holiday Fun!

Christmas: The Sacred and the Beautiful

Christmas: The Sacred and the Beautiful.

Last week I focused on the fun but annoying Christmas songs. Today, however, I’m giving you the antithesis. Today is Christmas Eve and therefore today we focus on the more sacred and the beautiful songs we get with Christmastime. Why? Because the craziness of the season is finally coming to a close.

You’re probably done with your shopping, or at least you will be soon. Now is the time to focus on family and friends getting together, sharing a meal, and enjoying eachothers company. Now is the time to bask in the joy and the sacredness of the season. Maybe you’re going to church, maybe you’re going to visit someone, or maybe you’re just hanging around. Regardless – I hope this playlist helps you enjoy the next couple of days.

About the songs included: a great majority focus on the religious aspects of Christmas. Away in a Manger, Silent Night, etcetera. Some are about pure beauty – Henry Mancini’s “Song for another Christmas” as well as She & Him’s “Silver Bells.” I’ve included some country artists – Reba Mcentire and Lady Antebellum to name a couple. I know that sometimes a “country” feel gives us a sense of tradition and warmth (that’s sacred in it’s own way).

The sacred and the beautiful Christmas playlist – this is what Christmas is all about. Merry Christmas to you and yours. Good tidings, and may your Christmas be merry and joyful.

The Sacred and The Beautiful – and the end of the year…

Yes – the year will end in about a week. 2019 will be here before you know it. I realize the focus of AudioPerfecta has been about the holidays recently, but this playlist will close that chapter. Later this week I’ll publish a list of my favorite albums. My next playlist will be all about some of my favorite songs of the year. And after that – well, let’s just say I have some interesting and different things for January.

If you’re interested in my personal life, be sure to check out Aaronjedwards.com on December 31st, as I’ll be publishing a year end letter journaling my life and the major events of 2018. Finally, while Christmas day is almost here, if you celebrate Epiphany and/or the 12 days of Christmas, you’ll want to engage in the holiday fun I’ve brought you all December long – just click this link, and you’ll find it all.

Merry Christmas!
