100 Percent Fun!

Folks, it’s been a rough winter. I don’t need to tell you all the crap that’s been going down, but there’s a lot. You know that, and I know that. We need some good news. We need some pure joy. Someone needs to bring the fun and STAT! That’s the inspiration for this week’s playlist. 100 Percent Fun! is a playlist full of songs that will make you feel good inside and out. You’ll want to dance, laugh, and smile while listening to this week’s playlist. Most of all, though, maybe you’ll forget your troubles for a couple of hours.

100 Percent Fun! includes everyone from Matthew Sweet to Erasure to Taylor Dayne. Roxette will take you on a Joyride, The Bangles will want to Be With You. Duran Duran, The Beatles, Annie Lennox, Pretenders, The Go-Go’s, INXS, The B-52s, and so many more artists will turn that frown upside down, at least for a little while.

Detach from reality, and enjoy 100 Percent Fun! Your soul needs a break!

100 Percent Fun!

Let’s go from 100 percent fun to 110 percent!

Folks, so much Good Stuff coming your way! First of all, this week, most likely Saturday or Sunday, I’ll be publishing a very special Artist Exploration on The Godmother of Rock, Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Who was she? Well, let’s just say about 90 percent or more of the artists on this playlist owe their sound to Tharpe.

Also in the works, a slew of articles from the Cover Vs Orginal series. There’s also an article on the B-52’s most overlooked album. I might examine the album “In The Name of Love” (a tribute to U2). I might also examine the album “Mink Car Cover” which pays tribute to They Might Be Giants’ “Mink Car” album. And of course, there will be more playlists! I never miss a playlist unless I’m super sick or extremely stressed. You need your weekly fix, after all!

As always, I’m always looking for suggestions. Is there a song you want to see get the cover vs original treatment? Do you want me to review an album? Is there an artist you think I should explore? Do you have a theme for a playlist? I want to hear these suggestions. Leave them in the comments and I’ll see what I can do!

Until next time people, I hope you find a bit of joy in the caos. Don’t let the bastards get you down. And as always, rock on and rocksteady!
