So, it’s been a while! Considering my last playlist was about grief and death, maybe some of you were worried! But fear not, I am here. I just didn’t have the energy to do a playlist every week. What have I been doing? Well, one thing is trying to hone in my espresso shots! Seriously, talk to me about puck prep – I dare you! In honor of my pursuit of the perfect shot (using a 300 dollar machine no less), I’ve decided this playlist will be called Coffee Time Music,
What kind of music is coffee time music? Well, think about going to a coffee shop in the middle of the day. Tons of people, hunched over their laptops, while the barista plays a preselected list of songs their boss has authorized. Ok, ok, that sounds a little too corporate and sterile. These are good songs, I promise. They’ll make you tap your feet, nod your head, and generally help you work as you’re hunched over your laptop. Artists such as R.E.M., Belle & Sebastian, Lord Huron, Japanese Breakfast, The Cars, Yazoo, Micheal Penn, XTC, Matthew Sweet, and more! Of course, there are a few surprises in the mix as well. Maybe you remember a band called Jellyfish? What about Aztec Camera? It will be fun!

When will more coffee time music come around?
That of course is the question, isn’t it? The truth is, I don’t really know. I might put one out next week, but I might not. I need to make sure I take care of myself, so if this becomes a chore – I probably won’t put one out. With that said, I have a few ideas that I want to explore. So….stay tuned.
